Capabilities

PECO Aerospace Fastener's factory is built on a minimill concept. That means, all of the manufacturing and testing equipment are in the same building. Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen principles are used to minimize set-up times, shorten process steps, reduce waste and improve throughout.

The factory production capabilities include: hot/cord heading, hot salt baths, sand blasters, aging and solution furnaces, TQM furnaces, Ramco parts washers, grinders, pointers, facers, fi llet rollers, drilers, extensive coating tanks, automated paint line with robotic transfer machines and curing ovens.

The factory testing equipment includes fatigue testers, tensile testers, hydrogen/oxygen testers, hardness testers, sectioning and mounting equipment, electronic microscopes and an assortment of comparitors, photographic and other measuring equipment.
